Speaking of Turkmenistan

The memories, two years later

My dad told me that I should type up this stuff fast before it loses its relevance. Well, I hope it's not too late, even two years after my return. Thank you for reading and for supporting me during my period of service; indeed, thanks to some of you for supporting me my entire life. I am no better and no less than you because of my service and there is still so much more I need to learn, as do we all; however, there are some things I learned in Turkmenistan that I would never have learned (as well) here in the USA, though graduate school and growing older sure give me some perspective. Special thanks to Jane Bardon and Leo Deon, volunteer artists who have shared their vision of a wonderful and mysterious world with the rest of us.

Much love,
Christina
